Took this shot in Times Square in NYC, 4 years ago.  Some street musicians have special talents.

Street Musician No. 3  As in so many things, being a street musician is location, location, location.  If you can somehow be there early enough to score the coveted spot directly in front of the original Starbucks… need I say more?

Or maybe it is to share an exotic instrument in hopes of starting a conversation.  Or, perhaps to put out some music from home in hopes that someone may hear it across Central Park in New York City and come over and speak some Mandarin with you and talk about where your family is from.…

This is on my Instagram site also.  For years I have been taking photos of street musicians.  (It is what led me to my love and support of Playing For Change).  I have heard some wonderful musicians and some that were not so good.  Either way, I have wondered what prompts a person to grab…

Here in Big Bear the most common hummingbird we have is an Anna’s Hummingbird.  We have a feeder right outside our dinning room table and one on our front porch.  We get a lot of ‘traffic’ during these summer months.
