Thank you Colorado Symphony and #VetTix for a special evening
I was able to take my girlfriend and two of our closest friends to an Evening with CSO and mandolin virtuoso Chris Thile. From Nickel Creek and The Punch Brothers to the symphonic concert stage Chris Thile is a master musician.
Under the baton of conductor Eric Jacobson, Mr Thile launched into Barber’s Violin Concerto.
The absolute highlight of the evening was Chris Thile and the CSO’s Concert Master Yumi Hwang-Williams performing Bach’s Double Violin Concerto with Thile’s mandolin taking the first violin part. With symphonic backing Thile performed Grammy Award Winning songs from his Bluegrass repertoire.
