One of those flags that have my neighbors wondering, ‘What the heck is that one?’ The Isle of Man.

The Isle of Man is an island in the North Irish Sea, exactly half way between England and Ireland. It is technically ‘ruled’ by the United Kingdom with the Queen of England called ‘The Lord of Mann’. This island has been home to Celtic Norsemen since 6500 BC.

The flag is a red field with The Triskelion centered. The Triskelion, three armored legs with golden spurs is an ancient Norse symbol. It is a popular symbol called ‘Ny tree Cassyn’ in the Manx language.

The Triskelion is not everyone’s favorite – Denise thinks it is creepy. I like it because it is so different.
