Summer Trip two of 2019: The Michigan In Me

You can travel to exotic places and live in far off lands, but there is still something magical about going ‘Up North’. We grabbed our beloved niece and headed up to Mackinac Island.

We took the Star Line slow boat over to Mackinac. We stayed at two wonderful B & Bs as we lived in the land of no cars and enchanted delicacies. Boyhowdy I have never eaten that much fudge in my life. Bicycles got us around the circumference of the 8 mile island.

We built the obligatory cairns on the shore. Had some pretty good coffee at a non-corporate small business off of the main drag.

It was everything us ‘Trolls’ (someone who lives under the bridge) could ask for.
