Name changing.

All of our Chinese daughters are given an “American Name”. We think it is sad. Here is a fun video that talks about this.

One response to “Name changing.”

  1. Yes. One year at my school, on the first day, a mother brought her young son in. I asked his name. She did not speak much English, so I showed her our class list. She pointed to Phuc. I asked her how to say it. She said “Foo”. None of the other children felt that was a problem, so neither did I. Sometimes, kids know best.
