To be a part of history as the National Women’s Soccer League made its debut in Denver was an absolute blast!

The only place in Denver large enough to hold the record breaking crowd was Bronco Stadium.

The stadium was packed.

*One problem: The Summit’s opponents, The Washington Spirit, were not introduced. We considered it a breach of etiquette and poor sportsmanship on behalf of the management to not allow us to welcome these world class athletes. The Spirit is a top notch team and we wanted to say ‘Hi’.

The pre-match hoopla included the Skydiving Thunderstorm. And a fly over by an Airforce fighter jet.

The smoke and fireworks made for a smokey first kickoff of Women’s Soccer in Denver.

It was a back and forth match with some early season jitters but Women’s Sports is in Denver to stay.

The largest crown ever to witness a women’s sporting event.
