The flag of the AFC team from Wrexham Wales. One of the gigantic banners folks wave at the Racetrack in Wrexham when their beloved Wrexham Football Club takes the pitchIn 1864 members of the Wrexham Cricket Club wanted a sporting activity for the winter months. The Wrexham Associated Football Club was formed making it the Third oldest association football team in the UK and The Oldest club in Wales. The very first match was played on October 22, 1864 at the Denbighshire County Cricket Ground (The Racecourse) The match was against the Prince of Wales Fire Brigade.Decades of ups and downs and through recent downward slides, the city and the club found themselves in bad shape. Enter actor Rob McElhenny who had the bizarre idea of buying an English Football team and helping it and the city return to glory. He contacts another actor, Ryan Reynolds and talks him into the adventure. On August 24, 2022 the two actors decide that one way to help finance the venture was to make a documentary about buying and running a Football team.We became ‘hooked’ watching the two come to love the team and the city. There is not much better television on the air today. It is on FX – Hulu and worth every minute you invest.
The flag utilizes the red dragon of Wales with the inscription ‘Pride of Wales’ on the bottom. An excellent sports flag
