Migratory path of two Denver snowbirds part ten (2023)

That lady said you find the lighthouse and you can stand on the shore and see whales out in the ocean. There is a sort of path, let’s see where it goes.
Umm, is this still the path? Maybe over there, go to the left and maybe we will pick up the path again and see the lighthouse.
Ok…technically that is a lighthouse…
If you look closely that is the rough sea Chanel between The Big Island and Maui. It is definitely the migratory path that whales use.
It is overcast and windy but we are ready to do some whale watching
Keep looking out there…John, it is starting to rain…
One more shot of the famous lighthouse
Hold it…I saw something out there…yup, there are tails slapping the water and there is a sprout and a breach…
Maybe if I had my good camera with the zoom lens I could get the whale pictures. I do wonder if anyone will mistake me for a tourist with this outfit.
A good beach to snorkel around…but Boyhowdy that wind is sure making the water rough. Maybe another day.
Yup, too rough, and those lava rocks are not pleasant to crash into.
Standing by the Buddha statue in the Marriott resort we did see whale spouts and tails slapping the water.
Those Marriotts do like their statues.
Interesting how a resort will go to such detail to keep people on their property.
The Big Island is a special place.
