Міграційний шлях двох сніжних птахів Мічигану, частина чотирнадцята. (Ukrainian). [Migratory path of two Michigan Snowbirds part fourteen. {A travelogue about Gary & Denise Flanders}]

The next morning we drove south to the Tamarack State Beach in Carlsbad. Denise tested how habituated the local ground squirrels are.
We still can’t get enough of walking on the beach, any beach will do. (Frazee State Beach)
Gotta make it back to Oceanside around 5:00 for another sunset. (Note Denise’s selfie on her phone)
The pigeons do stunts every evening. (This could have been used in the movie trailer for ‘The Crows Have Eyes 3)
Working at finding a new angle or reflection of the show.
The next days hike at the Oceanside Audubon Nature Center was flooded out.
It is the very beginning of Strawberry season here in this area.
As opposed to the berries you buy at a grocery store these were picked today.
Meanwhile back at the pier, the sunset was inching later each day.

South of us was the fabulous Torrey Pines State Park. People are familiar with the famous Torrey Pines Golf Course, but for the hiker/naturalist it is the state park that is the place to go.

On February 11, grandson Brody and his Big Bear Bears made it into the CIF tournament. Their first opponent was Chaffey High School. This charter school in Ontario had a huge campus that would make many colleges jealous.

Looking for color and catching a seabird, we walked the beach near our apartment.
When the tide is low it uncovers all types of color and sea life. (#takingpicturesofpeopletakingpictures)

There was a song back in the 1960s about how it never rains in Southern California, it certainly hasn’t rained hardly at all in our stay here. One day of cloudy and misty isn’t bad at all.
No romping and hanging out on the beach today.
By late afternoon fisher… men and beasts were out on the pier.
Attempt at artsy shot of low tide and reflection under the pier
Might as well give the gulls some popcorn.
Sunset on a cloudy day
