We are in Oceanside for 60 sunsets. Our walk on the beach each evening was something we looked forward to.
Finding new photo worthy subjects was never difficult. One evening we noticed the patterns the waves were making and attempted to capture it.
When it was sufficiently dark the lights posts on the pier magically lit.

The next day it was back to Carlsbad to hike up the Lake Calavera Preserve.
Ok, it was a real dumb idea to hike down this section of the trail.
Next morning we headed north to Camp Pendleton Marine Corp Base to hike the bluffs at San Onofre.
Part of our plan of ‘every day something different’.
Somebody made a mighty nice fort on the beach.
Always good to have a nuclear power plant on your beautiful beach.
