兩隻密歇根雪鳥的遷徙路徑第十一部分. (Mandarin [Chinese], ok, here you go: Migratory path of two Michigan Snowbirds part twelve.) [A travelogue about Gary & Denise]

Being close enough to Big Bear, we did a quick trip ‘up the hill’ to watch grandson Brody play a basketball game at BBHS.

In her search for new hikes, Denise has discovered quite a few in Carlsbad City limits. You drive through a neighborhood and stop when you see the trailhead sign. Once on the trail you would never guess you are in the middle of an urban area.

We hiked through a eucalyptus grove and had a good workout
Not a bad way to end each day. Here is an example of my hashtag on Instagram: #takingpicturesofpeopletakingpictures.
Denise can’t resist saying, “Would you all like to be in the picture.”
Approximately 15 minutes after sunset look to the East to watch the reflection. (This is looking south East from the Oceanside Pier)
Looking north east from the pier.

We drove from Oceanside to Oro Grande for the final game of the season for the Big Bear Bears. Brody had a little more playing time but in the end The Bears dropped the last game.

And in the end, this is what it is all about.
For our next hike we stumbled across a nostalgic moment as we found the ranch of Pancho, the Cisco Kid’s sidekick, in a neighborhood in Carlsbad. The gardens and buildings were right out of the 1950s TV show .
In search of Pancho’s horse, Local, she found these horses.
