Bucket list travelogue. Day 2 into 3

There is no doubt that a major tourist attraction of Iceland are the Northern Lights. Since it is completely weather dependent and can’t be scheduled, you ‘take what you can get the day you go out.

11:40 pm

The moon was so bright and the air almost too clear, even though we drove about 45 minutes out of Reykjavik to the Thingeville National park to avoid ambient light, they began like this and even though they came and went – this was about it.

Green is the most common color.
There you go Mr and Mrs Tourist, ‘Your Northern Lights’ (12:00 am on the dot)
When we travel there is the major element of being like Kaine in ‘Kung Foo’ and ‘wondering the earth and having adventures’.

Here are a number of the murals of Reykjavik we found in our wandering.

A pole mural
A building with every window pane featuring a man who has been in prison for many years.
A parking structure

There you go Mr and Mrs Tourist, a few of the murals of Reykjavik. Do you have a favorite?

We ended the day with dinner at a famous restaurant whose specialty is grilled cheese and tomato soup. Like nothing you’ve ever had. Boyhowdy good. The only way I will tell you the name of the place is if you email me.
